Roanoke police are investigating the death of a male whose body was found this morning in the city’s Old Southwest neighborhood.

Police were called just before 11 a.m. to the 1000 block of First Street Southwest after a passer-by noticed a body lying in a small stand of trees on property owned by the Episcopal Diocese of Southwestern Virginia.

Police have not determined a cause of death.
