Truck crashes into dealership in Salem
A truck crashed into a car dealership in Salem late Wednesday night, crushing the fronts of three cars in the dealership, police said.
A 1989 Ford Ranger pickup was traveling east in the 1300 block of East Main Street at about 11:30 p.m. when it crossed the double yellow median lines and struck three cars at the Hart Oldsmobile dealership on the opposite side of the road, said Salem police Lt. Tim Guthrie.
The truck hit a utility pole and flipped on its side, Guthrie said.
Don Wayne Johnson of Salem was driving the truck, Guthrie said. He was taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital and released shortly after.
No one else was hurt in the incident.
The incident was still under investigation late this morning, and no one had been charged.
