Virginia Tech student stabbed during fight
A Virginia Tech student who police said was stabbed during a fight early this morning has been treated and released from the hospital.
Blacksburg police were called to the fight in the 900 block of Prices Fork Road about 1:30 a.m., said Lt. D.J. Davis.
The 21-year-old student and another man had been arguing when the man stabbed the student in the arm, Davis said. The student's name has not been released.
He was taken to Montgomery Regional Hospital, Davis said.
Police charged Jonathan Samuels, 21, of Blacksburg, with malicious wounding. Samuels was also taken to the hospital, where he was treated for a cut on his finger, Davis said.
Samuels is being held at the Montgomery County Jail without bond.
