David Bowers made a convincing political comeback tonight, trouncing incumbent Mayor Nelson Harris to earn a four-year term in the office he's held twice before. Bowers earned 53 percent of the vote to 40 percent for Harris. Voter turnout was 20 percent.
Meanwhile, the Democratic ticket swept the races for three city council seats, with Sherman Lea, Anita Price and Court Rosen defeating three independents, including incumbent Brian Wishneff.
