Lanes reopen on I-81 near Buchanan

8:58 a.m. update: VDOT is now reporting that the accident has been cleared.

The Virginia Department of Transportation is reporting that a tractor trailer accident has closed all of the southbound lanes of Interstate 81 near mile marker 158 in Botetourt County. Southbound drivers are advised to detour off at exit 162 onto U.S. 11. Drivers can return to the interstate at exit 156.
