Roanoke police are seeking the public's help in identifying a man who investigators believe used a veteran's missing credit card on at least two occasions.

Surveillance footage from the Walmart in the 4800 block of Valley View Boulevard Northwest shows the suspect using a Bedford County man's credit card two times, making purchases totaling more than $400, according to department spokesman Scott Leamon.

Leamon said the victim, a 77-year-old Air Force vet, misplaced or dropped the card sometime before Sept. 3 at an unknown grocery store.

Leamon said the purchases were made Sept. 2.

In a surveillance picture released by police, the suspect appears to be pushing an infant in a baby carrier attached to a shopping cart. The man is wearing a striped polo shirt and khaki shorts.

Anyone with information can contact 853-5959 or the Roanoke Valley Crime Line at 344-8500.
