A Roanoke man is facing DUI charges after an SUV crashed into a northwest Roanoke home Thursday morning.
A black Ford Explorer SUV rammed into the front of a white brick house at the corner of Greenland Avenue Northwest and Cumberland Street Northwest about 9 a.m.
The SUV punctured a wall under a window, just to the left of the front door.
Roanoke Fire-EMS Capt. Kelcey Branch said no one was inside the house at the time of the crash.
The driver of the car suffered a minor head injury but was not taken to the hospital. Roanoke police spokesman Scott Leamon said the driver, Wallace Arnold Scott Jr., 35, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs and driving under the influence with a revoked license.
Branch said the city's code enforcement unit will determine whether the house can be inhabited.
Branch said two pets might have been inside. The owner was out of town Thursday.
