Two Bedford residents were taken to the hospital Wednesday morning after the truck they were riding in overturned.

About 10:45 a.m., Esther Creasey, 58, was driving a Toyota Tacoma east on U.S. 460, near the 13000 block of East Lynchburg-Salem Turnpike.

Creasey told authorities a white vehicle pulled in front of her, causing her to swerve off the right side of the road, said Sgt. Rob Carpentieri of the Virginia State Police.

Creasey and her passenger, 50-year-old Jobe Nelms, suffered minor injuries, he said. Both were wearing seatbelts.

Carpentieri said Creasey has not been charged in the crash, though it remains under investigation.
