Police ID Danville man killed in fiery Monday night crash

Police have identified the man killed Monday night in a wreck at the intersection of Arnett Boulevard and Wendell Scott Drive.

Therman Stacey, 46, of Danville, was pronounced dead at the scene after his 2007 Suzuki Motorcycle collided with a 2006 Chevrolet Impala, according to a news release from the Danville Police Department.

Stacey was traveling northbound on Arnett Boulevard when Alisha Gregory, the driver of the Chevrolet, struck Stacey's motorcycle attempting to make a left turn from Arnett Boulevard onto Wendell Scott Drive, the release stated.

A fire resulted from the crash, and Gregory was able to flee her burning car. Stacey was ejected from his motorcycle. Gregory was transported to Danville Regional Medical Center where she was treated for minor injuries and released.

No charges have been filed.
