A Christiansburg man and his stepson are among the victims of what police suspect is a murder-suicide that occurred Friday night.
Police have identified all three men killed in shootings in Christiansburg and Pulaski.
Derek Scott Roberson, 36, of Christiansburg, was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound at his home on Kay's Drive at about 6:15 p.m., according to Christiansburg police.
Barry Roberson, 45, of Pulaski, and Clinton Morris, 69, of Christiansburg, were both later found dead from apparent gunshot wounds in Pulaski at approximately 7 p.m., according to the Pulaski Police Department. A news release from the department said the incident "appears to be a situation involving a murder/suicide."
Christiansburg police Maj. Dalton Reid said Derek Scott Roberson is the stepson of Morris and they both lived in the home on Kay's Drive.
The relationship between Derek Roberson and Barry Roberson is unclear.
Reid said police responded to a call about gunshots about 6:15 p.m. Friday at the home near Kay's Drive and Majestic Drive. He said when they arrived, they found Derek Roberson, but no suspect at the scene.
According to a release from the Pulaski Police Department, at 7 p.m. law enforcement officials went to the intersection of North Jefferson Avenue and Northwest Sixth Street after a call about shots fired. Officers discovered two people dead from gunshot wounds when they arrived, the release said.
The release said one of the victims was involved in the earlier shooting in Christiansburg.
