Traffic near downtown Roanoke will be detoured this weekend due to highway bridge maintenance.
Williamson Road Southeast near Albemarle Avenue and Jefferson Street will be closed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday due to the ongoing U.S. 220 bridge project, according to a Roanoke news release.
Signs in the area will direct drivers to a detour, the release said. The road closure will wrap up Sunday.
