Franklin County authorities seized evidence from a suspected methamphetamine laboratory Wednesday morning.
Lt. Todd Maxey of the Franklin County Sheriff's Office said officers responded to the 4000 block of Old Franklin Turnpike, in the Redwood area, before 8 a.m. in reference to shots fired in a residence.
When they arrived, Maxey said, they found a suspected methamphetamine lab. They cleared the residence and obtained a search warrant by Wednesday afternoon.
During the search, Maxey said, officers seized evidence consistent with items found in methamphetamine labs.
He said people were inside the residence when police arrived, but no arrests have been made in connection with the search. The investigation is ongoing.
