2 men injured in weekend Roanoke stabbing
An altercation in the 200 block of Elm Avenue preceded the early Saturday dual stabbing, police said.

The Roanoke Police Department is investigating an incident that happened Saturday during which two men were stabbed.
According to a statement from the police department, officers responded to the 200 block of Elm Avenue at 3:43 a.m. where they found two men had been stabbed.
Douglas Brooks, 31, of Roanoke, and Hung Nguyen, 26, of Roanoke County, were taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, according to the statement. Officers determined the two knew each other and had been involved in an altercation. Police said they don't believe anyone else was involved.
There are no charges at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
