Friday, April 04, 2008Habitat dedicates home; Club and civic group news wantedHabitat for Humanity of the Roanoke Valley recently held a dedication for Clara Crowder's new home. Crowder, who has worked at Carilion Hospice for 10 years, and her family held a ribbon cutting dedication for her new home on Jan. 19. Habitat for Humanity worked alongside ITT Night Vision for 40 days over a course of four months to help Crowder build the home. The group would help build the home on Wednesdays and Saturdays. ITT provided 26 volunteers along with a group of Habitat for Humanity volunteers. For more information, visit Habitat.org.
