Video: Buck runs amok in downtown Roanoke
Fight-or-flight mode for a male deer translated into damaged property in downtown Roanoke on Friday evening.
At 5:30 p.m., a Roanoke police officer filed a report in front of a glass-littered sidewalk as he responded to a building in the 100 block of Campbell Avenue Southwest.
Officer R.J. Engl said from speaking to witnesses it appeared that the deer plowed through a portion of the building adjacent to First Street.
"From the looks of it, the deer jumped into the building, got pretty spooked and jumped back out," he said.
