Video: 17th District debate highlights
Republican Bill Cleaveland and Democrat Gwen Mason debated in the first forum of their 17th District state House Tuesday night at the Holiday Inn Tanglewood.
Cleaveland, a Botetourt County lawyer, and Mason, a Roanoke city council member, are running to replace Del. William Fralin in the House of Delegates. In February, Fralin announced his intention to step down from the seat.
The forum was sponsored by AARP Virginia, the Alzheimer's Association, the Virginia Chapters of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Virginia Association of Centers for Independent Living and the Virginia Association of Area Agencies on Aging.
