Video: Revival at Melrose Park
In the back yard of a troubled Roanoke neighborhood, a revival's leaders mean to make a difference.
On Wednesday night, a revival was held in Melrose Park, the back yard of one of Roanoke's most crime-afflicted neighborhoods. A circle of people holding hands stretched over two basketball courts and around Hardy, pastor of Roanoke's Greater Prayer Temple.
He and other leaders from about half a dozen small congregations have a goal this week that is ambitious and simple by name: "Taking Back the City."
