A National Guard Black Hawk helicopter used a sling Saturday to transport a disabled Virginia State Police helicopter from the rooftop helipad on top of Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital to a nearby hangar for repair. It returned for a second trip to carry back the helicopter’s rotor blades that were removed for the trip.
