Carilion Clinic is trying to help as many people as possible realize the risks of hypertension this weekend by trying to break the Guinness World Record for the most blood pressures recorded in a 24-hour period.

Starting at 3 p.m. Friday at Valley View Mall , the Carilion team will attempt to take the blood pressures of at least 2,303 individuals. That adds up to a minimum of eight blood pressure readings every five minutes — which two nurses accomplished last Friday in the first five minutes of a trial run.
