The Crooked Road is Virginia's Heritage Music Trail, a 250-mile corridor of highways and backroads that winds through Southwest Virginia's mountain-music territory. The trail runs from Franklin County to Dickenson County, connecting eight major venues and scores of smaller attractions. The eight venues are the Blue Ridge Institute and Museum in Ferrum, the town of Floyd, the city of Galax and its annual Old Fiddlers Convention, the Blue Ridge Music Center on the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Birthplace of Country Music Museum in Bristol, the Carter Family Fold in Hiltons, the Country Cabin in Norton and the Ralph Stanley Museum in Clintwood.
