Name: Gerald Anderson, 51, Troutdale
Occupation: When not carrying the mail in Grayson County, he can be found making guitars, mandolins and other instruments at Wayne Henderson's shop near Mouth of Wilson.
Bio: Anderson won the guitar category at the Galax Old Fiddlers Convention in 2003. He learned how to play and how to make instruments from Wayne Henderson, the internationally celebrated guitarist and luthier.
Favorite artists: Doc Watson, Wayne Henderson

Name: Martha Spencer, 20, Whitetop
Hometown: Whitetop
Occupation: Student at Emory & Henry College, where she is studying to become a teacher.
Bio: Spencer was christened in the musical waters of Grayson County from the time she was born. Her parents, Emily and Thornton Spencer, are well-known musicians who played with legendary fiddler Albert Hash in the Whitetop Mountain Band. Martha is a good singer, guitarist and dancer, and she and her older brother Kilby lead the Crooked Road Oldtime Band.
