Local flavor: Carroll County White Grape Juice Cake
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 box butter recipe cake mix
- 1 3-1/4-ounce box vanilla instant pudding
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup white grape juice
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1/2 cup water
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a tube pan and spread pecans on bottom. Mix remaining ingredients and pour over pecans. Bake until done (about 50 minutes).
Glaze:
- 1/4 cup white grape juice
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup sugar
Combine ingredients in a saucepan, bring to a boil and pour over the hot cake (still in pan). Reserve a small amount of glaze. Remove cake from pan while still hot and pour remaining glaze over top of the cake. Makes 10-12 servings.
