I am not a Jr. fan because of his dad, and I believe alot of other fans are not either. Dale Jr. is his own person and he has matured alot and I don't see him whinning about the races like Gordon does. It will take some getting used to that Jr. is racing with Hendrick, but I will support him!!! Dale Jr. is a good driver. His stepmom just don't know alot about racing, she should have let him have his dad's company. She is just in it for the money.

I wish Dale good luck, he is doing this to better himself, and I support him. I am not a fan of Gordon and Johnson, but who knows I might change my mind. A lot of people thought he would drive the No. 3 car but I understand him not wanting too, He wants to make a name for himself. Go Dale Jr.!!!!!!

If you are a true Earnhardt fan you should be happy for Dale Jr he is doing the right thing. His dad did not drive for DEI. And for all the Nascar haters get over it. Nascar is a sport. REMEMBER THAT!!!! At least it is not fixed like football and all the other sports. You can hate Nascar all you want to. I say GO DALE JR you are worth it all.. I don't like Gordon that much but it is all good. As for Jimmie Johnson he could leave racing for all I care I do not like him at all. 2008 will be the year to watch.. GO DALE JR GO!!!!!

He will do better because Hendrick will offer on the edge ideas and that camp has lots of sponser $$. He will be up front and will win for Hendrick but I think the fans will see him as seperate from the other two. I feel he has made this move to improve himself and not so much for Hendrick. This will help Jr. for his next step. Someday he will be in the black # 3. Go Dale Jr.

Only time will tell, but Earnhardt may well be only the third best driver at Hendricks. I happen to be a Stewart fan -- or a Joe Gibbs fan.

Shame on his father for not having his estate in order. I have seen this before in other family busineses. Great for Dale E I am sure it took an enormous amount of courage to leave his fathers company, and start a new path.

He has joined a stable of folks that can drive, win championships, and act like Gentlemen.Junior does'nt win many races that are not on restrictor plate tracks and that stopped when everybody else figured out restrictor plate engines. Could it be that Rick Hendricks, like a lot of us, believe that Junior drives the Nascar "Company" car? Listened to part of the News Conference today, have not heard so many u knows since the NBA finals.

He is a MAN that will work with resources to continue to be a great asset to NASCAR and America's values of freedom, choice, opportunity. If you were ever around him (I have had the opportunity to do so, limitedly), you would realize that he is a great human-being. He is fun-loving, skilled, and cares for others. He is a great American, alone from Dale Sr.'s wonderful legacy.

I'm not surprised, but am concerned for him. E has always had a rebel streak in him that has kept him in turmoil. Historically, guys like this have become Hendrick's scapegoats and have gone to a driver's early grave - a la Ricky Craven. In the Hendrick family, there's always been one on the hot seat.
The question is: Will history repeat itself? If so, who will be Hendrick's next scapegoat? Casey Mears or E?

Most Jr fans are fans because of DADDY..... Jr just needs properly handling and to get away from the family feud he is engaged in with Teresa.... so signing with Hendricks should do this.. I myself, am gonna have a hard time pulling for JR and recognizing him as a Hendricks driver and a team mate of my Jeff Gordon's! But I am sure between Rick Hendricks and Jeff's ability and taking the time and teaching Junior, they might make something out of him yet!

I doubt there is anything else Gordon could teach him that he didn't learn from his father, it's just DEI doesn't have the resources like Hendrick. Look at how many wins Hendrick cars have won this year. And they might as well not even run in Charlotte because Johnson always wins there...could it be because he drives for Lowes' and its 'Lowe's Motor Speedway'?

These guys aren't athletes, either. (Or if they are, so are long haul big rig drivers).
