Roanoke law firm plans to sue Virginia Lottery
The Virginia Lottery continues to sell tickets to scratch games statewide even after all the top prizes for the game have been claimed. That's the accusation a Roanoke law firm is making in a letter sent today notifying the state of their intention to sue the Lottery.

Talk about the planned lawsuit against the Virginia Lottery.

I wager it isn't the only government scam!

What gets me is the lack of media response to this sort of thing. Enormous amounts of tax dollars are disappearing all the time, and there never seems to be any responsibility or restitution. They breeze past on the news and are forgotten...no follow-up.

"We the People" just shrug and say "its business as usual", and so the corruption just continues.

...but isn't it time we flex our economic choice for something better?

If a business can perform the function that the government fails to perform, and is better/faster/cheaper...isn't THAT a wiser tax strategy? As a taxpayer, shouldn't we be able to make that choice?

So, the government is taking people's money and giving nothing in return? Sounds like business as usual. Good case or not, it is very difficult to take on govenment and win.

I remember seeing posters that stated how many winners that was left for the current games. Wouldn't that put an and to the problem? It seems quite silly to me. People know their chances before they play. Hope it gets thrown out.

Sorry, I left out the possible culprit's name. That's Mrs Menzies a.k.a. Penny Kyle President of Radford University, who ran the VA Lottery and probably set up the scam.

Given her dismal performance at Radford University--her drive to create RADMART, I wouldn't be a bit surprised if she wasn't in on the set up when she ran the lottery!

Rigger-its that they use a big jackpot to advertise the tickets even after the big jackpot has been given away and there is no chance of winning the large prize.
