Print newspapers are a thing of the past. Think about all the paper they waste. The Roa Times could go away today and I wouldn't care a tad, mostly bilge anyways.

People need to live for a while in a city with a REALLY bad newspaper ( like Richmond's ) for a while to appreciate how good our paper is. These are very tough times for newspapers everywhere and though I see ours slipping I am still comfortable with it.

If it changes then maybe the " Times " wouldn't be so one sided and regain readership that has been lost because they can only see things one way.

It doesn't matter who the buyer is....it'll still be a positive.

Well, the Roanoke Times really couldn't get any worse.

Wait...that's not quite true, George Soros could buy it. That would make it slightly worse.

Anytime there's a merger or selling of a company that's been in the same hands for a long time it's best to keep a guarded approach about it.
It very well could be for the best in the long run though(the optimist in me).
Just so long as some Rupert Murdoch affiliation doesn't buy it(sets self up for right wing comebacks),hopefully it'll be fine.

Good luck!
