Lake Norman cruise and Shelton Vineyards

Botetourt County Parks and Recreation is sponsoring a bus and train trip to Washington. On day one, the group will take the bus to Lynchburg and catch the train to Union Station in Washington. In the evening, visit the Franklin Roosevelt, the World War II, Martin Luther King and Air Force memorials. On day two, participants can visit their choice of Smithsonian museums. In the afternoon, board the Potomac Riverboat for a cruise to Alexandria. In honor of the 150th anniversary of the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation, the Friends of Booker T. Washington National Monument is sponsoring a bus trip tracing the life of Washington, the renowned educator and reformer.
