Roanoke County Parks, Recreation and Tourism is sponsoring a bus trip to see a private showing of the community theater production of “The Pearls of Wisdom,” a sequel to “The Passing of Pearl.” The play is set in a diner in Memphis, Tenn., in the 1980s and follows the antics of the three friends. The cost per person of $73 includes a catered buffet lunch at the Ramsey, Bluefield’s performance arts venue, a visit to Gary Bowling’s House of Art, breakfast biscuit, play ticket, tour fees, bus transportation and escort. Roanoke County Parks, Recreation and Tourism is sponsoring a bus trip for a taste tour of Pennsylvania’s Amish country. The group will eat at an Amish smorgasbord followed by a stop at Lancaster’s Central Market. The trip includes tours of an Amish farm, the Hershey chocolate factory and the Turkey Hill Experience. Autumn Leaf Rambler

Botetourt County and Franklin County Parks and Recreation are sponsoring a bus trip to Dillwyn to ride the Autumn Leaf Rambler train on a 3 ½-hour round trip to New Canton. the Rappahannock

Friends of Booker T. Washington National Monument is sponsoring a bus trip tracing the life of Washington, the renowned educator and reformer.
