Blues BBQ books a lot of local stuff, but every now and then some up-and-coming national act will wind up in the little room. This time, it's Sirsy, a New York band that early in March released a really strong pop-rock record, "Coming Into Frame" (Funzalo). It features an impressive singer/drummer in Melanie Krahmer, who also strikes bass notes via an electronic pad - all while standing up. Krahmer and guitarist Rich Libutti co-write the songs. If Sirsy is as good live as it is on record, it should be quite a show.
