Two top figures in Roanoke's classical music scene will perform together for the first time in a place that's a little out of the way.

Roanoke Symphony Orchestra conductor David Stewart Wiley and Opera Roanoke director Scott Williamson will join forces 7 p.m. Wednesday at The Glebe in Daleville to put on "From Boheme to Broadway."

They'll be accompanied by soprano Amy Cofield Williamson, Scott Williamson's wife. The free program, as you might guess, combines classic opera with Broadway show tunes.

Incredible as it seems, Williamson confirmed that he and Wiley haven't shared a stage before. "We're looking forward to it," he said.
