Sometimes, it may take a lot and sometimes a little to chase away the gloom that has hung over the spirit just as the seemingly ever present clouds have hung in the sky.

Going to the barns for morning feedings amidst the misty morning rains yet again I wished longingly for a ray of sunshine.

A smile as radiant as the long absent sun broke my melancholy.

Directly in my path was a glorious sunflower that beamed its joy into my soul.

It wasn’t planted or nurtured but was a gift that nature bestowed when most needed.
