During the holiday season, photojournalist Kyle Green and I met a dozen festive felines from the Roanoke Valley SPCA that were looking for a home.

By the time our photo spread, The 12 Cats of Christmas, ran on the front page of the Extra section on Dec. 8, three of the 12 had been adopted.

Not all of the remaining nine found a home before the holidays, but the good news is that, as of Jan. 8, all of the remaining kitties were adopted.

The last one to find her forever home was Meadow, pictured here.

If you missed out on a chance to bring home one of the Christmas kitties, don’t worry. There are still plenty of cats and kittens at the RVSPCA and other local shelters waiting for a loving home.
