Raymond C. Rhodes (Rocky, Ray), of Roanoke, passed away Friday, May 22, 2015, at the age of 90. He was born in Dayton, on December 19, 1924, and was an "Irish Twin" of his sister, Pansy, born December 23, 1923. He was the son of Peter Reuben Rhodes and Lenna Wenger Rhodes. He grew up in Bridgewater during the Great Depression. He was predeceased by his lovely wife of 58 years, Hildred "Tillie" Smith Rhodes; his beautiful granddaughter, Brittney Tucker; and his sister, Pansy Hoover. He is survived by his brother, Leon Rhodes and wife, JoAnn; four children, Ronald Rhodes and wife, Dreama, Donna Ingram and husband, John, Linda Pharr and husband, Robert, and Nancy Tucker and husband Eddie; eight grandchildren, Andy Ingram and wife, Karri, Phillip Ingram (Alexis), Courtney Adkins and husband, Josh, Matthew Pharr (Megan), Michael Cox (Lindsay), Heather Cox, Randall Pharr, and Nicole Brown; and nine great-grandchildren, Abigale Adkins, Hunter Brown, Taylor Brown, Charleigh Ingram, Oliver Ingram, Quinn Ingram, Natalie Morris, Aaron Pharr, Miles Pharr, and one more Ingram on the way.
Joseph John Wilson, 82, of Lexington died Sunday, May 24, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Born February 25, 1933 in Atlanta, Ga., Joe was the son of Joseph John Wilson, and Jamie DeVane Wilson. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Stephen Joseph Wilson.
