Short plays on the program for Lake Players

Lake Players will present The First Annual Ten-Minute (or so) One-Act Play Festival on Sept. 13 at 7 p.m. at Resurrection Catholic Church on Virginia 122.

“Chocolate, Yo-Yos, Pickles and More” is a series of one-act plays directed by Nancy Kind and Diana Burakow. The plays are “The Chocolate Affair,” “Your Call Is Very Important To Us,” “The Form,” “To Open, Pry Cover” and “Dutch Treat.” Lake Players is part of the Smith Mountain Arts Council.

Performers will include Leslie Santapaul, Bo King, Nancy King, Mike Dittrich, Linda Worman, Jim Tarrentino, Al Fuzi, Peg Clutz, Kevin Leap, Linda Leap, Charlene Maresca, John Maresca, Anne Motley and Connie Canova.

Those attending are encouraged to bring a picnic dinner and beverages (alcohol is allowed). Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.

Tickets are $6 for SMAC members and $7 for non-members.
