Group looking for all levels of bridge players

The Smith Mountain Lake Arts Council bridge group is looking for new members (singles or pairs) to play in the 2013- 14 round-robin scholarship bridge tournament. Competition will be divided into men’s, women’s and couples play.

Six teams are needed for each group to create a flight. Teams will be placed in a flight with six to eight other teams. Tournament play begins Nov. 1 and ends Oct. 12, 2014. The host team contacts its opponents to schedule playing time and date. A running score is kept for all teams to determine tournament champions at the end . All levels of bridge players are welcome.

A registration fee of $20 will go to the SMAC scholarship fund for students from Franklin County and Staunton River high schools.
