Little League team competes in state tournament

A Little League all-star team from Franklin County recently returned from playing in the state tournament in Springfield.

The team advanced to states, where it posted a 2-1 record, by easily winning the Virginia District 12 tournament for ages 10-11.

During the trip, team members saw the Washington Nationals play the Los Angeles Dodgers.
