Members of the SML Lions Club are assisting with the reconstruction of the Old Anglican Church in Snow Creek.

The church , which may be the oldest building in Franklin County, was built in 1769 by the Anglican Church. It later became a Primitive Baptist church.

The church and surrounding property recently were bought by a Rocky Mount physician, who wants to restore the church and have it designated as a historical site.

The Lions, including Art Sommers (pictured, from left), Ron Jamison, Rick Carroll and Tom Scott, are assisting with the installation of interior boards and outer siding.
