Jolly Jen Photography opens in Burnt Chimney

Jolly Jen Photography, which opened last month, is located in Burnt Chimney at 6675 Booker T. Washington Highway, on the lower level.

Smith Mountain Lake photographer Jen Chaconas shoots special events, including senior and family portraits, and posts proofs online. She shoots some of her photos on location and others in the studio by appointment.

New owners take over No Bologna Deli

No Bologna Deli is under new ownership and management and has a new menu and extended hours. New owners Steven and Tasha Beckett have taken over the deli at 13850 Booker T. Washington Highway, which is close by their discount tobacco shop, Laker Beverage. Steven Beckett said the deli could have online ordering as soon as the end of the summer. The shop is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday. For more information, call 721-1414.

B&B donating to bookmobile

The Claiborne House B&B at 185 Claiborne Ave. in Rocky Mount announced on its blog that it will donate $5 to Patrick County’s BookMobile Fund for every room rented this season. Money is being raised for the bookmobile, which has been in service for more than 50 years, to upgrade to a new vehicle and to make major repairs to the existing one.
