Like budding flowers, Southwest Virginia's farmers markets are starting to appear across our area. Here's a list of when some of them open -- many already are -- and how to contact them for more information.

Abingdon Farmers Market

Season: April 16 through Nov. 19. Saturdays, 7 a.m. to noon; Tuesdays, 3 to 6 p.m.
