Erin McCarley fits well into this category: You might not know her, but you probably know her work.

Her songs "Love, Save the Empty" and "Pitter-Pat" were played on the hit television show "Grey's Anatomy." Her music also has been on "The Hills," "Kyle XY" and in the Jennifer Aniston movie "He's Just Not That Into You."

McCarley, on her first headlining tour, is finding that recent shows are helping audiences put a face with the tunes.

"A lot of the people who come to the shows don't even know who I am," McCarley said. "But when they hear the introduction to 'Love, Save the Empty,' or start listening to 'Pitter-Pat' as I'm singing it, they go, 'Oh my gosh, I heard that in blah blah blah.'

"So then they get that connection, and there's kind of this visual connection, too. And after the shows, it gives me something to be able to talk with them about, and have something more than just the live show [to discuss]."

Also on the bill are Butterfly Boucher and K.S. Rhoads. All three are part of the Nashville, Tenn., songwriters collective, Ten Out of Tenn.
