The Waltons also hailed from Salem, but had a completely different vibe than the Vomit. The Waltons played more of a mid-tempo punk that featured Jim Burtch, Jill Carter and Suzanne Lacey on vocals. The band's surf and folk influences distinguished them from the rest of Roanoke's hardcore scene. Several core members of the group went on to form Thee Wanderers and Vim Vigor Vitality, both of which gigged around the mid-Atlantic during the '90s.
