A 63 year tradition continues on Saturday, November 7th with the Turkey Supper at Topeco Church of the Brethren. The supper began by the Women’s Fellowship as a means of fund raising to pay for the parsonage built in 1945 and to raise funds to begin construction of the new brick church in 1950. The Women’s Fellowship continues to sponsor the event, but includes the help of all the church members.
This annual event features turkey and dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green or baked beans, coleslaw, rolls, homemade desserts, coffee or tea. Take out plates will be served from 4:00-5:00 pm. Those wishing to dine in may do so from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. The cost of the meal will be $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for children 10 and under.
