Elizabeth Martin’s Holiday Dressing

1 regular size bag of Pepperidge Farm stuffing

1/2 cup mashed potatoes

1/2 cup chopped onions

1/2 cup chopped celery

1 egg, lightly beaten

2 1/2 cups stock from the turkey or canned broth (if using canned broth add 1/2 stick of margarine)

Boil stock or broth with onions and celery for approximately 5 minutes. In a bowl, mix potatoes and egg. Add stuffing mix and stir. Add liquid with onions and celery and mix until moistened.Put in a greased casserole dish or 9x13 pan. Bake at 400 degrees until lightly browned and cooked through, but not dry, about 30 minutes.
