Kids eat free: Out to eat on the cheap

Going out to eat with the kids can be a major drag on the wallet. So we made some calls to a long list of Roanoke Valley restaurants (including the familiar chains) to find out if any offered kids deals, above and beyond a traditional kids menu or free drink or ice cream. Some eateries offer kids-eat-free nights while others serve up half-off specials or free desserts. Keep in mind that these deals are for dine-in only, and we did not include fast-food options.
