Why? Although young people aren't exactly flocking to Roanoke, Josh is still a big fan of the Star City. There may be more to do in cities like Charlotte, Raleigh and Atlanta, but he thinks of Roanoke as a modern-day Mayberry. The cost of living's reasonable and it's clean and surrounded with beautiful scenery. Best date in Roanoke: A canoe ride at sunset on Carvins Cove. Fall is the ideal season for the short paddle; a bottle of wine and good conversation is essential. Worst date in Roanoke: A date with a smoker is the worst-case scenario. How to approach Josh: Just walk up and say hi. Want to talk to Josh? E-mail roanokes_most_eligible@yahoo.com or call 981-3352 and we'll hook you up.
