Home: Roanoke.

Age: 25.

Sign: Aries on the Pisces cusp.

Occupation: Seller of outdoor goods and maker and seller of fine baked goods.

School: Majored in studio art at Hollins University.

About Stephanie: Assertive, crafty and vivacious

General interests: Thrift store shopping, hiking, animal rights and antique photo albums. Also quite fond of her new glasses.

Where you're most likely to find her: Driving in her station wagon to pick up roadside furniture, in the music section of Barnes and Noble, at the co-op or drinking a cup of fair trade coffee at Mojo Cafe.

Stephanie's routine when she goes out: Do I go out?

How long she's been single: 6 months.

Pro of single life: The freedom to make spontaneous decisions.

Con of single life: Ironically, not having anybody to answer to. Sometimes it’s nice to have somebody waiting up for you.

Who she'd like to meet: "Womyn" or gender-benders who don’t believe in U-hauls and who aren’t intimidated by random or quirky behavior.

How she rates Roanoke's single life on a scale of 1 to 5: 2.

Why? There needs to be more cultural events and activities that are free. I’m not cheap, everything just costs too much.

Best date in Roanoke: Playing Frisbee in Highland Park.

Worst date in Roanoke: Anyplace where everybody else is; overcrowding makes her nervous.

How to approach Stephanie: You should approach her because she’s usually not one to do the approaching. Perseverance is a plus.
