Blueground Undergrass mixes elements of jazz and Southern rock into its bluegrass core. Led by a Col. Bruce Hampton disciple, the Rev. Jeff Mosier, BGUG has a new CD, "Faces," out on Landslide Records. The record features Hampton, best known as frontman of the Aquarium Rescue Unit, and ARU guitarist Jimmy Herring. Mosier talks with us about Hampton's influence on his own music, and what people can expect when his band comes to play 202 Market on Friday. Plus, in a rare podcast bonus, we include three full songs from the band.
