PODCAST: Lobsters

Listen, will ya?

Take a listen to what the members of Lobster had to say to Roanoke Times reporter Mason Adams.

If you're in Roanoke and find yourself surrounded by shimmying girls, rugged boys and the sound of no-frills rock'n'roll (no chaser) odds are you're at a Lobsters show.

The band, arisen from the ashes of the Red Skulls, has been providing Timesland with danceable riffs for nearly a year now.

We invited them into the IO studio to discuss Roanoke nightclubs, a forthcoming mid-Atlantic tour and why they released their new single on vinyl.

Catch the Lobsters Thursday, June 2, at the Coffee Pot, or at one of their two shows June 17 and 18 at the Green Dolphin.

In case you didn't know, we've been doing these podcasts for a little while now. What are they? They're like radio shows in mp3 format. You can right click and hit "save target as" to download them to your computer or mp3 player, or just stream them by hitting the pointy thing in the RealPlayer box above right. If you want to get with the leading edge tech stuff, you can drag the XML button above left onto your news reader.
