Hillbilly Casino
Deanna Bogart
El Prezidino
SATURDAY
Hillbilly Casino
This Nashville, Tenn.-based rockabilly combo is no stranger to Roanoke. High-energy rhythms and “Radioactive” Ronnie Crutcher’s brutal guitar playing set up the mood for charismatic frontman Nic Roulette, who has described the band’s sound as “Elvis Presley meets Van Halen.” The band knocks out plenty of originals, as well as cover tunes.
Details: 10 p.m. Saturday. The Mix One6, 16 Campbell Ave., downtown Roanoke. $7. Twenty-one and older. thehillbillycasino.com, www.myspace.com/themixone6club
