Global warming? The heat is coming from radical Islam, and it is global.

Islam means "submission to the will of God." Who in all of Islam defines "submission" and "will of God"? Muhammad, founding prophet of Islam in the seventh century, knew the will of God.

Whatever Muhammad said was the will of God, was the will of God, so recorded in the Quran. Muhammad also defined submission. It meant you did what Muhammad instructed (became a Muslim), or chose to (if a choice was granted) be heavily taxed, become a slave of Muslims or die.

Muhammad declared death to apostates and assassinated opponents, spreading Islam by the sword. In fewer than 20 years after the 622 A.D. founding of Islam in Saudi Arabia, Muslim armies were invading east and west in conquest. Simple history.

The very foundation of Islam incorporated violence.

Today, obviously, a percentage of Muslims are taught to hate infidels. Entirely too many carry this hatred into adulthood, seeking martyrdom, believing paradise awaits the martyr.

These hate-indoctrinated Muslim adults come from all walks of life. There is no way of knowing who carries this hatred or when martyrdom will be exercised. How does one distinguish a peaceable Muslim from a jihadist?

Infidels are all who do not believe in your understanding of Islam, even other Muslims. Christians, considered "people of the book," receive a modicum of respect in Islam, at least technically. However, to many Muslims, Christians are infidels, receiving little to no protections in law or in society. Simply observe the repression of Christians in Iraq, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan (to name only a few). In practice, religious freedom is often severely restricted or nonexistent in Islamic countries.

Average European family size is so small, entire peoples are extinguishing themselves. For years, indigenous deaths have outnumbered births all across Europe. Filling in much of the resultant worker shortage are immigrating Muslims. Muslims still seem to value larger families more than Christians and are beginning to demographically engulf all of Europe (and Russia).

Europe now fears the cultural upheaval being imposed on them by the ever-growing Islamic population. Most European nations exercise politically correct diplomacy for fear of internal terrorism from the radical Islamic factions hidden in their Muslim communities.

Daily, news reports worldwide chronicle violence by Muslims. Do we want this in America? What kind of America will our children and grandchildren inherit?

There is no universally acknowledged and respected authority in Islam to counter and quell the radical element. There is no united outcry, even from moderate Islam, against the daily carnage of radical Islam. Was there much protest from the Islamic world when the World Trade Center towers went down?

Rep. Virgil Goode has the wisest idea in severely limiting (or stopping) the number of Islamic immigrants allowed into the United States, and for an indefinite amount of time.

A recent Pew Research Center poll reveals one in four Muslims residing in the United States agrees it is acceptable to employ suicide bombings to "defend their religion." Since "defending Islam" can never be clearly defined, this is very frightening. We can be destroyed from within.

For those ready to cry "religious intolerance," "bigot," "prejudice," "hate speech," save your breath. Please, go live for one year with your family in an Islamic-dominated country of your choice. If you make it through the year, come back and we'll sit down and chat.

Jihad is anything from personal to global. Radical Islam is marching. It must be stopped at our doors. Listen to and heartily support Goode and like-minded legislators, who have a clear understanding of what is at stake for our country.

Islam need not be spread by the sword anymore. The sword has been replaced by explosives, cellphones, Muslim Internet hackers, guns, chemicals and the vote (yes, the vote). The jackpot will be when this radical element obtains nuclear detonation devices.

I do not particularly dislike Muslims, but I so dearly love my country, American citizens and the freedoms we enjoy, including the freedom to express oneself in a newspaper without incurring death threats.

If we do not halt the influx of Muslim peoples, we will wake up one day and it will be too late to save America from endless Islamic violence and jihad. Am I afraid? Yes, I am. And I fear our legislators are too soft to seriously address this radical menace. God help us.
