Individual bio information is available at www.churchaliveintl.com Church history Church Alive International (CAI) was founded by Melvin and Evangeline West as "Church of the Harvest," opening its doors on June 7, 1992, at a local Holiday Inn conference center, and shortly thereafter, relocating to a storefront building on Williamson Road. In 2000, the Wests passed the mantle of senior pastor to Carey and Vannie Harrell. Shortly thereafter, the church was renamed Church Alive International, acknowledging the mandate to be a life-giving church that reaches beyond its four walls to the community and the world. In May 2007, CAI relocated to its newly constructed facility on Peters Creek Road at Salem Turnpike. Membership Approximately 200. The membership of CAI is an eclectic gathering of people from all walks of life and is made up of various denominational and nonreligious backgrounds, all age groups, all marital statuses and various ethnicities. Service times and types Sunday Worship Service: 10 a.m.; Wednesday Teaching & Worship: 7 p.m.; fourth Wednesday Life Groups: various times at various locations.
